Design Week Opening Party + Kickoff @ Jupiter NEXT

Design Week kicks off with the opening party.  From the Design Portland website:

Luck is for sailors. For stock market traders. For those who don’t believe in themselves. Luck isn’t for designers.

Join us at the official DWP opening party to kick off a week of connection and inspiration at Jupiter Next, the new endeavor from Portland’s standby Jupiter Hotel. Take in installations curated by Kamp Grizzly, including collaborations with Craig Winslow, DOA (Department Of Art), Matchless, Neon Distributors, and Ways & Means, plus many more of your faves in town.

Grab a drink or two from Merit Badge, who will be slinging beer from Dirty Pretty, wine from Cooper’s Hall, and beautiful spirit pairings brought to you by Townshend’s Distillery + Q sodas. Drinks are for purchase, but we’ll have delicious free snacks from Garden Bar and Ellenos Greek Real Yogurt. Not feeling the healthy vibes? Ash Wood Fired Pizza will be parked on the premises in case you need cheese + carbs.

Luck be damned, we’re feeling pretty fortuitous that you’re in our community, and we can’t wait to celebrate with you.

Content creators, animators, artists, advertising creatives, producers, brand marketing teams — Hinge invites you into our studio for a special Design Week Portland Open House.

Come meet the team at HINGE and get a behind the scenes view of how we bring unique stories to life through characters, live action, animation, and post-production visual effects.

We are co-hosting with our neighbors 3DV, serving beer, wine, and amazing food, and showcasing a lot of fun creative and tech.

In our theater, we will be screening our latest work in TV content, Interactive, and broadcast commercials, including Cartoon Network’s Toonami! 3DV will also be demoing 3D printers.

2019 marks Hinge’s 10th anniversary! Come celebrate with us!

Design Week: Sockeye Open House @ Sockeye

Swing by our newly expanded 2nd-floor studio space during Sockeye’s DWP open house! Our theme is “Process” – we’ll be showcasing the full journey of how we produce work, from sketches to ideation to final creation. Our gallery-style exhibit will feature graphic design, video, and web work from a variety of our clients, as well as our own recent rebrand.

We’ll be pouring beers from pFriem and Breakside and will have a silk screen station open for you to create your own tote. Stop by for a fun, interactive visit with our team and our space!
